Watermelon Blueberry Salad

Summer wouldn’t be complete without watermelon so combine these two summer favorites for a festive red, white and blue simple salad for your summer picnics.

INGREDIENTS

  • ½ seedless watermelon, cubed
  • 1 pint fresh Georgia blueberries, washed and stemmed
  • 7-8 ounces crumbled feta cheese
  • ¾ red onion, thin slivers
  • 1 package fresh basil, finely sliced
  • ½ cup Georgia olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

PREPARATION

Combine watermelon, blueberries and red onion in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper, and toss gently. Top with feta and basil, and gently mixing to combine. Serve immediately. Serves 12.
